I’m a researcher at NIVA and also hold a lecturer position at the Institute of Landscape Ecology (ILÖK), University of Münster, Germany. Most of my research focuses on the restoration of rivers and streams in human impacted landscapes and I increasingly work at the interface between aquatic and riparian habitats. I'm interested in utilising nature-based solutions to sustainably manage environmental and societal challenges; e.g., safeguarding biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, improve climate adaptation, and counteracting pollution while simultaneously ensuring our demand for energy, food, etc.
I will be project lead in SABICAS supporting with the day-to-day management as well as scientific activities in the project.
